This policy explains what information Botleneck ("we", "us") collects when you visit botleneck.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We've written it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.
The short version: we use Meta's advertising pixel to understand which ads bring people here, and we collect your name and email only if you choose to book a call. We don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't send unsolicited marketing to people who haven't asked for it.

Information we collect
Information you give us. If you book a strategy call, our scheduling provider (Calendly) collects your name, email address, the time you selected, and anything you write in the booking form. We use this only to hold the call and follow up about it.
Information collected automatically. When you visit this site we and our analytics and advertising partners may collect:
- Pages you viewed and how long you stayed
- The site or ad that referred you here
- Your approximate location, derived from your IP address
- Your device type, browser and operating system
- Whether you clicked through to book a call
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
This site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of tracking code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). It sets cookies in your browser and reports back to Meta which pages you viewed and whether you booked a call.
We use it for two things: to measure whether our advertising is working, and to show relevant ads to people who have visited this site. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Meta processes this data under its own terms. You can review and control how Meta uses your activity from businesses like ours in your Meta Ad Preferences settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly at optout.aboutads.info or youradchoices.com.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them will not stop you from using this site.
We honour the Global Privacy Control and browser "Do Not Track" signals where our providers support them.
Third-party services we use
- Meta Platforms — advertising and conversion measurement (Meta Pixel)
- Calendly — call scheduling; collects your name, email and booking details
- Google Fonts — typography; your browser requests font files from Google's servers
- Our web host — serves this site and keeps standard server logs
Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy policy. We don't control what they do with it beyond the purposes described here.
How we use your information
- To respond to you and hold the call you booked
- To follow up about a service enquiry you started
- To measure and improve our advertising
- To understand how people use this site so we can make it better
- To meet legal or tax obligations where required
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information
- We do not share your details with other businesses for their own marketing
- We do not add you to a mailing list without your consent
- We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18
How long we keep it
Booking and enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to serve you, and afterwards for up to three years for business and tax records. Advertising cookie data is retained by Meta according to its own retention schedule, typically no more than two years.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, and the GDPR if you're in the UK or EU — you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of targeted advertising or the sharing of your data for it
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these, email peter@botleneck.com. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we don't collect sensitive categories of data, and we never ask for payment details through this website.
Links to other sites
This site links to third-party pages, including client Instagram profiles and our booking page. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we don't operate.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted prominently on the site.
